End user licence agreement
Effective November 5, 2026
By installing or using SightLine you agree to this licence. If you don't agree, don't install it.
1. Licence
SightLine ("we") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use SightLine for your own business or personal work, on the terms of your plan (Free, Pro or Enterprise). The software is licensed, not sold; we keep all rights not given here.
2. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense or share the software or product keys, except as your plan allows.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or get around the licensing or plan limits, except where the law allows it.
- Remove copyright or licence notices.
3. Your data
Your maps and files belong to you and stay on your PC. See the privacy policy for what the app sends to outside services.
4. Third-party services and content
Map imagery, address search and building outlines come from outside providers (Esri, OpenStreetMap contributors, and Google if you add your own key). Their terms apply to that content, and it may change or stop without notice. If you use your own API keys (Google, Anthropic, Cisco Meraki), you are responsible for following those providers' terms and paying their charges. SightLine includes open-source components listed in the third-party notices, each under its own licence.
5. Planning tool, not a guarantee
SightLine produces planning estimates. Camera specifications, fields of view, pixel densities, cable lengths, hazardous-area zones and other figures are approximations and may be wrong or out of date. Always check against manufacturer datasheets, site conditions, codes and the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction before you quote, buy or install. You are responsible for your designs and for how they are used.
6. Updates
SightLine may check for and install updates. Updates are covered by this licence.
7. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, SightLine is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (such as lost profits, lost data or project costs), and our total liability is limited to what you paid for SightLine in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the licence
This licence ends if you break it. When it ends, stop using the paid features and delete any copies obtained against these terms. Sections 5, 7 and 8 continue after it ends.
10. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
