Privacy policy

SightLine is a Windows app that keeps your maps on your own PC. We don't run accounts, ads or tracking. This page lists everything that does leave your PC, and why.
Who we are
SightLine is made and sold by SightLine ("we"). Contact: [email protected].
What stays on your PC
Your site maps, plans, photos, camera layouts, client list, reports and settings are saved in Documents\SightLine Maps on your PC, or in another folder you choose in SightLine. We never receive them. If you share a project file or PDF, you decide who gets it.
What the app sends, and to whom

These services have their own privacy policies. When you use your own API keys, your agreement with that provider applies to what you send.
What we do not do
- No analytics, tracking or advertising in the app or on this website.
- No crash reports are sent automatically. If we add them, they will be optional and listed here first.
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
Payments
When paid plans open, payments will be handled by a payment processor (such as Stripe). We will receive your name, email, billing country and what you bought, but never your full card number.
How long we keep things
Emails are kept as long as needed to help you. Activation records (key, PC code, dates) are kept while your licence is active and for up to two years after, for fraud prevention and support.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Uninstalling SightLine does not delete your maps; delete the SightLine Maps folder in Documents if you want them gone.
Children
SightLine is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the app's release notes.
